For some unknown reason one of the 20 laptops I had to install on actually worked with the Nikkai RS232 adaptor, none of the others did. I found the installer puts two.sys files in the C: Windows ?System32 drivers folder. I tried copying these from the one working laptop onto the other 19 laptops also using the blue CD, replacing the two.sys files, and if by magic, they all now work!

I found it by searching for the prolific driver for serial adapters instead of Nikkai, as they are the supplier not the manufacturer.

It definitely works for me, I didn't want to mess around with manual install/copy of files, Not that I wouldn't be adverse to doing that either.
