This is a Fantastic Alvarez Yairi DY-77. This guitar was built in 1989, and is in exceptional condition There are no cracks or breaks. The neck is straight.
According to luthier Dale Unger, the digits after the dash in the serial number are the year the guitar was completed. ALVAREZ YAIRI.
The fretboard is in great shape, with 95% left on the frets. The top is flat. Key reset epson l100.
The bridge is solid and intact. Light scratches under proper lighting, with a very minor check mark- shaped indention on the upper bout (shown in pics). Nice low action at 3 / 32 at the 12th fret. This guitar has pick marks and play wear here and there (mostly on the top). There is also one finish chip on the top. Outside of some minor cosmetic blemishes, this thing appears set up nicely and plays great (and sounds great). It has that big voice with the Yairi chime / sparkle on top.
