The right side of the frame is marked “Made In Russia”.

Barrel Length: 3 5/8” Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The target style rear sight is pinned to the slide. It has a flat top and square notch and it is adjustable for elevation and windage. The slide has a full length rib with fine wavy serrations to reduce glare. Stock Configuration & Condition: The one piece grip is black checkered plastic that wraps around the backstrap, with smooth shallow thumb rests on each side. The bottom rear of the left grip is cut out for a lanyard ring.

The checkering is sharp with a very small mar on the left side. The grip is in about Excellent overall condition. Type of Finish: Blue Finish Originality: The finish appears as it came from the factory. However, import marks were machined into the slide and frame, indicating the pistol was refinished by the importer. Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep.

There is no erosion in the bore. Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its current metal finish. The screw heads are sharp and the slide serrations are about the sharpest we have ever felt. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition. Mechanics: The action functions correctly.

It has a decocker which also blocks the firing pin in the safe position. The double action trigger pull is stiff and the single action trigger has a little creep. We did not fire this handgun. Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with two 8-round magazines, a brown leather holster and its original box. The magazine in the pistol shows no wear except for thinning on the front edge of the floorplate.

It is in Excellent condition. The spare magazine is AS-NEW. The holster is a flap type with a magazine pouch sewn to the outside surface and two leather loops sewn to the front edge for a cleaning rod. The flap is sewn to the underside of the holster and folder over. It is secured with a brass stud on its outside surface to a strap which is sewn to the underside of the holster.

The outside of the holster has a slit for a pull strap for ease in removing the pistol from the holster. The underside has a single wide belt loop sewn to it. The inside of the top flap is marked in black ink with “10 OTK-04 / 1993” (OTK is either Russian or Czech and indicates the holster was made to military standards). Inside the holster is a narrow carrying strap with a loop at one end and a plated steel hook on the other and a blued steel cleaning rod with a slot for a patch. The holster, strap and rod all appear to be in AS-NEW condition. The box is white cardboard marked “Russian / Makarov / Double Action / Semi-automatic / 9mm Makarov (9x18) / Pistol / Holster Included” and with the correct, make, model, and serial number of this pistol. The box shows light yellowing from age, but is in otherwise Excellent condition.
